The model

This test is based on the Holland Codes (RIASEC), the most widely used model for career interests. It measures six types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional, then points you toward careers that fit.

The dimensions

What each score describes

Your report gives a separate score for each of these, on a 0–100 scale. They are read together, not ranked against each other.

Realistic (Doers) 01

Realistic (Doers)

Hands-on work with tools, machines, the outdoors, and real results.

A lower score below 40

Practical, hands-on work is not where your energy naturally goes. You likely prefer people, ideas, or organising over tools and machines.

A middling score 40–70

You have a fair pull toward hands-on work. You can enjoy building or fixing, especially alongside your other interests. Try small projects to see if you like it more.

A higher score above 70

You love practical hands-on work with tools, machines, or the outdoors, and you want to see a real result each day. You feel most satisfied when you build, fix, or make something with your own hands. Try a weekly hands-on project or a job task that uses tools so you can test and grow this skill.

How it shows up
Your work style
You can switch between practical tasks and other kinds of work. You join hands-on tasks when they fit your projects and goals.
Careers that fit
You could enjoy a role that mixes some hands-on work with your other strengths and goals.
Ideal environment
You like some hands-on time in your week and also office or study work. A mixed schedule keeps you engaged.
Investigative (Thinkers) 02

Investigative (Thinkers)

Research, analysis, and solving complex problems with ideas and data.

A lower score below 40

You do not get drawn to deep research and analysis. You likely prefer action, people work, or creative tasks over long study and data work. Choose roles that use hands on skills, social contact, or creative output.

A middling score 40–70

You enjoy solving problems when they interest you. You can dig into a question that grabs your attention, but you also enjoy hands on or people work. Choose tasks that mix thinking with doing to stay engaged.

A higher score above 70

You love digging into complex problems and finding answers. You like to figure out how things work and use data and ideas to solve them. Look for roles that let you research, test ideas, and solve real problems.

Artistic (Creators) 03

Artistic (Creators)

Creativity, design, and self-expression, with freedom over structure.

A lower score below 40

You do not want open-ended creative work as your main focus. You like clear tasks, steps, and predictable rules more than a blank canvas. Try small, guided creative tasks to build skill and comfort.

A middling score 40–70

You like some creative work when it fits a clear plan. You add personal ideas when you have guidelines and steady support. Try setting small design goals inside tasks to grow your creative voice.

Social (Helpers) 04

Social (Helpers)

Helping, teaching, and caring, working closely with people.

A lower score below 40

You are not drawn to steady people-facing roles. You prefer working with things, data, or ideas over helping people every day. Try jobs or projects that let you work alone or with data to use your strengths.

A middling score 40–70

You like helping people, but not all the time. You balance teamwork with solo work and enjoy teaching or advising in the right amount. Try roles that mix people tasks and quiet work so you can switch as needed.

A higher score above 70

You get energy from helping, teaching, and supporting others. You often want to make a real difference in other people's lives and in teamwork. Choose roles like teacher, nurse, coach, or counsellor where you lead care and teach others every day.

Enterprising (Persuaders) 05

Enterprising (Persuaders)

Leading, persuading, and driving toward ambitious goals and results.

A lower score below 40

Leading and persuading are not your main pull. You prefer helping, creating, or focused hands on work rather than selling or pushing others. Try roles that let you work with clear tasks and steady progress.

A middling score 40–70

You can lead and persuade when it matters, while you also do other kinds of work. You pick your moments and use your people skills to get a project moving. Practice stepping forward on small projects to build your influence and comfort.

A higher score above 70

Conventional (Organisers) 06

Conventional (Organisers)

Order, structure, detail, and working with data and systems.

A lower score below 40

Detailed, routine, data work is not your main draw. You likely prefer variety, people, or hands-on work over structure and records.

A middling score 40–70

You can enjoy organised, detailed work while also liking variety. You step into systems when a task needs order, but you still want change. Try blocking time for routine tasks and keep one slot free for new ideas.

What this is not

These scores describe patterns in how you answered, not a diagnosis. The Free Career Interest Test is built for self-reflection: it is not a clinical instrument, it does not detect any condition, and no score on it is a medical result. If something in your report worries you, that is a conversation to have with a professional, not with a website.
