The model

People give and feel love in different ways: through words, acts, gifts, time, and touch. This test shows your blend across all five, so you and your partner can love each other better.

The dimensions

What each score describes

Your report gives a separate score for each of these, on a 0–100 scale. They are read together, not ranked against each other.

Words & Praise 01

Words & Praise

You feel love through kind words, praise, and appreciation said out loud.

A lower score below 40

Kind words are nice, but not your main way of feeling loved. You notice love more in shared time, helpful acts, or steady care. Tell your partner which actions mean the most so they can meet you there.

A middling score 40–70

You like kind words, but they sit with your other ways of feeling loved. They help you notice affection, and small praise lifts your mood. Name the words that matter, and invite your partner to use them more often.

A higher score above 70

You feel most loved through heartfelt words, praise, and clear appreciation. Hearing praise helps you relax and trust your partner. Ask for honest praise, and let your partner know which phrases hit home for you.

How it shows up
A tip for you
Share the kind words that feel real to you, and ask for them when you need a little comfort.
How you give love
You use both words and actions. You offer praise, and you show care with small helpful acts.
How you feel loved
Kind words lift you, but they work best with touch, time, or shared help from your partner.
Acts of Care 02

Acts of Care

You feel love when people do helpful, thoughtful things for you.

A lower score below 40

You do not need people to do lots of tasks to feel loved. Words, time, gifts, or touch may mean more to you than chores.

A middling score 40–70

You feel loved by useful acts, but you also value other things. Small favours and gestures add to words and time in your mix of needs.

A higher score above 70

You feel most loved when people help you and do practical things for you. Actions make you feel safe and cared for, more than words or gifts. Ask for a hand with chores or errands when you need one.

How it shows up
A tip for you
Notice small helpful acts. Name one thing you want in a calm way. Say thank you.
How you give love
You help with practical tasks sometimes, and you also give time and words of care.
How you feel loved

Gifts & Tokens 03

Gifts & Tokens

You feel love through thoughtful gifts and little tokens of being thought of.

A lower score below 40

You do not need gifts to feel loved. Other acts, time, words, or touch mean more to you. Tell partners what makes you feel close so they can show love in ways that matter.

A middling score 40–70

You like small, thoughtful tokens to show care. You enjoy little gifts, but you also want time, words, and touch. Tell partners which tokens feel meaningful and when they matter.

A higher score above 70

You feel most loved through thoughtful gifts that show you were on someone's mind. It is the thought that counts.

A tip for you
Share a short list of tokens you like and say when gifts feel meaningful.

Answer based on how you truly feel loved, not how you think you should. There are no right or wrong answers. It takes about 12 minutes.

What this is not

These scores describe patterns in how you answered, not a diagnosis. The Free Love Style Test is built for self-reflection: it is not a clinical instrument, it does not detect any condition, and no score on it is a medical result. If something in your report worries you, that is a conversation to have with a professional, not with a website.
